Casa Lola
Located at the top of the village oppoaite the olive oil factory , Lola and her husband Carlo run this bar which also serves food. Definitely a place to meet the locals. Expect to practice your Spanish as the locals are not multilingual, however they are very friendly and familiar with Google Translate!
Terri’s shop
In the middle of the village ( next to Bar Cuenca which sadly is permanently closed ) this is open daily from 8am to 8pm. Prices are very affordable and you can stock up on milk, bread, cheese, meat, fruit and vegetables, frozen fish and fresh bread.
Olive oil factory
A highly recommended place to visit to buy the gold star internationally recognised olive oil. Other local products are also available and there’s a petrol pump at the back if you’re running low on fuel.

Our second stay at Villa Mondriana. We love it. It’s beautifully equipped with everything you could need. From toiletries to first aid supplies and washing powder to light bulbs. Honestly Steve and Anita have thought of everything to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. There are even toys and board games for the kids and they have gone to the trouble of inventing a treasure hunt and other games for them as well . The heated pool is just fantastic and the garden surrounding it is stunning. We spend most of our time on the enormous covered terrace with its views of the hillside and goat farm in the distance. I really can’t recommend this place enough, and we will definitely be going back.
